- MDC Break-Up Could Make Mugabe's One Party State Dream Come True The Bearded Man speaks: As I have often commented in recent days and weeks, the recent bickering and infighting within the MDC is going to do nothing but help ZANU (PF). “If the MDC collapses, it will leave a fragmented grouping that will be too weak to confront ZANU PF and obviously the ruling party will slacken, which is how we got into the mess we had in the 1990s,” Dzinotyiwei said. “The weakening of the MDC will not add value to society and ZANU PF.” I think that for the good of the country, personal feelings and opinions must be put aside for the common good.
- Inflation To Pile Misery On Zimbabwe Poor The Bearded Man speaks: I find the figure of ZW$10 million break even monthly income figure for a low-income urban family very frightening, especially when you consider that this has risen from ZW$6.9 million in the last month! It's all a viscious circle - workers need to be paid more to survive, overheads increase, so products have to to be sold at higher prices, which in turn means that workers need more to survive...
- Zim Evicted 'Sneaking Back' The Bearded Man speaks: So what if people are attempting to reconstruct their humble homes having had them knocked down by government sponsored forces? So what if the people of Zimbabwe, displaced by Operation Murambatsvina are attempting to rebuild their lives in the same area? I don't see the government doing anything to help them... do you?
- New Controversy Rocks MDC The Bearded Man speaks: Job Sikhala is working to his own agenda, now rejecting Tsvangarai's authority to suspend him. "Sikhala, one of the opposition's powerful young leaders popular in Harare, had accused Tsvangirai of being dictatorial." So if you don't get your own way, the best idea is to cause even more problems. The MDC would obviously be better off without Sikhala.
- Mugabe Takes A Farm For Himself The Bearded Man speaks: The Mugabe referred to here, is none other than Leo Mugabe - a law unto himself. For someone who is meant to be under house arrest for smuggling, he's not doing too badly, is he? The government takes his farm away, so he takes another for himself. Shades of his uncle here.
